We were invited to spend Thanksgiving with Steve's family in Hood River. The only thing we were required to bring was pie. Since I was out of school on Wednesday and Marli and Jaelyn were home, too, we decided to spend the day together doing things. So they came over and we made pies for Thanksgiving. Here they are getting the lattice cut for the cherry pie. In all we made three pies - pecan, cherry and pumpkin and the girls did most of the work. They love to cook and we have a good time doing it. They also helped make dinner that night for Papa.

Once we got to Hood River, Clarity decided that it was her job to get things organized and she did a good job from the counter top in the kitchen. She also took her mom and Gran for a walk to the park and took us all out after dinner. Michelle and Steve cooked the turkey on the grill and it was wonderful. We also had a new stuffing with artichokes and mushrooms and it was so good I'm trying to find a reason to make it again, soon. We also ate homemade rolls, mashed potatoes and great gravy, sweet potatoes and green beans. The left overs were well received the next day but we're out now, so guess I'll have to cook a turkey here.

We hope your Thanksgiving was amazing, too and that you were with friends and family.
