Our Trip to Arizona

I can't believe that it's taken me this long to finally post about our trip to Arizona. The main reason we went was to meet our new granddaughter, Clarity Blue, and see her mom, Michelle, and dad, Steve. We had a wonderful visit even though she decided not to arrive on time. She is now a month old and we try to get pictures everyday out of her mom and dad.
We did leave Clarity to do a little site seeing. We went to the Grand Canyon and it was truly amazing. We spent a lot of time there walking round seeing everything. I had a hard time looking over the edge so Rick took lots of pictures while I stayed on top on firmer ground. It got very hot there eventually so we went home but it was well worth the trip.

One of the things that Rick did every morning in Flagstaff was take pictures of humming birds. Steve and Michelle have a really nice area that attracts lots of birds and he got some really great pictures of the hummers. I knew that I'd find him out there with his cup of coffee when I got up. It was a great way to start the day!

We also went up the mountain and I was almost ready to take the chair lift to the top and see all the scenery from there. Once I saw the lift, I was pretty sure I couldn't do it - too high - and then the weather helped me out and they closed it since it was lightening and they won't let you hang out and there and be a lightening rod. In fact, there was a group that were stuck at the top waiting for the weather to clear. Glad I wasn't amongst that group as Steve told us that he's pretty sure there's not much at the top - maybe drinks but no food.

This is one of the pictures that we're getting "daily" from Mom and Dad. I love this one and Momma Michelle looks so great, too. We had a really good time and can't wait to see them all again. It may be around Christmas - hope I can wait that long.
