Rick and I decided that although we couldn't get out on our actual anniversary, we would go to Cannon Beach on the weekend after New Years for rest and relaxation. We had a great weekend and got lots of lounging in. We also spent an afternoon at our favorite beach - Arcadia, which is south of Cannon Beach. That's where these pictures were taken. It was a great weekend!
We walked through the galleries and stores, shopped a bit in Seaside, ate out for dinner and read, watched movies and slept a lot. For a 39th anniversary, it was pretty darned good. The roads going out to the coast on Friday were very snow packed and icy so we took a different route home. We heard on TV that a storm with high winds was on the way in on Sunday, so we left a little earlier than planned and were glad about it on Monday. The town we had lunch in, Clatskanie, closed their schools on Monday due to ice and snow. We must have been right ahead of the storm.
