Our favorite beach - Arcadia Beach

A picture of Arcadia Beach from the trail at the top.  We have always loved this beach.  It's not one of the easiest to get to but it's long and you can almost always find shells.  We both commented on how clean it was this time.  This is the one of the lowest tides we've seen in our years of going to the beach here.  This is the beach that we were at when a sneaker wave tried to take us all out to sea.  It was a really tramatic experience for Marli.  It happened just shortly after they had moved out here and Rick's mom and sister were visiting.  It sure gave us all a quick lesson is how dangerous those sneaker waves can be.

This is just one of the large rock formations that low tide uncovered to the base so we could walk around and look at all the sealife that lives on these rocks.

There were so many mussels and barnacles on the rocks that hardly ever see the sun.  And the anemones below the water were so green.  We walked around quite awhile and then collected some drift wood for my home project.

It was a very low tide the day we walked the beach and the starfish were piled up waiting for the tide to come back in.  There are lots of beautiful colors but it's hard to tell with the pile.
